Important things to know before deleting your account:

  • You cannot reactivate your account after 30 days of deletion.
  • Facebook may take up to 90 days to remove all of your information from its servers.

Steps to delete your Facebook account:

  1. Go to your account settings. You can access them by clicking the downward arrow in the top right corner of your Facebook page and selecting "Settings & Privacy" then "Settings".
  2. Click "Your Facebook Information" in the left menu.
  3. Click "Deactivation and Deletion" and then select "Delete Account".
  4. Facebook will ask you to confirm your decision. Click "Delete Account" again.
  5. Enter your password and click "Continue".
