"BS," also known as "Cheat," is a fun and fast-paced card game that involves bluffing and deception. Here's how to play:
Number of Players: 3 or more
Objective: The goal of the game is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards.
Setup:
1. Shuffle a standard 52-card deck of playing cards.
2. Deal the entire deck evenly among all players. Players should keep their cards hidden from the other players.
Gameplay:
1. The player with the lowest card (usually a 2) goes first. Play continues clockwise.
2. On their turn, a player must play one or more cards face-down into the center of the table while announcing the rank of the cards they are playing. For example, a player might say, "Two 7s" while placing two cards face-down.
3. The next player must then play one or more cards face-down into the center of the table, either matching the rank announced by the previous player or bluffing. If a player suspects that the current player is bluffing, they can call "BS" (or "Cheat") before the next player plays their cards.
4. When a player calls "BS," the cards in the center of the table are revealed. If the player who played the cards was indeed bluffing (i.e., they did not play the announced rank), they must pick up the entire pile of cards. If the player was telling the truth (i.e., they played the announced rank), the player who called "BS" must pick up the pile of cards.
5. Play continues with the next player starting a new round by announcing a new rank and playing cards face-down into the center of the table.
6. If a player runs out of cards, they are out of the game. The last player remaining in the game is the winner.
Additional Rules:
- Aces are high, meaning they can be played on top of a King.
- Players are allowed to play multiple cards of the same rank in a single turn. For example, a player can play three 4s in a single turn.
- Bluffing and deception are encouraged in the game. Players may announce any rank of cards they like, regardless of the cards they are actually playing.
