AirDrop lets you quickly share photos, videos, websites, and other files between Apple devices nearby. Here's how to use AirDrop on your iPhone:
1. Open the item you want to share:
-
This could be a photo from your Photos app, a link from Safari, or a document from another app.
2. Find the sharing option:
-
Look for an icon like a box with an upward arrow or the text "Share". It will vary depending on the app you're using.
3. Tap on AirDrop:
-
In the sharing menu, you should see an option labeled "AirDrop".
4. Select the recipient:
-
You'll see a list of devices with AirDrop enabled nearby. These could be other iPhones, iPads, or Macs.
-
Tap on the name of the device you want to share with.
5. Accept the AirDrop on the receiving device:
-
On the other device, a pop-up will appear showing the item and the sender's name.
-
Tap "Accept" to receive the AirDrop.
Here are some additional things to keep in mind:
-
Both devices need to have AirDrop turned on with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled.
-
Make sure your devices are close together (within a few feet) for AirDrop to work.
-
You can control who can send you AirDrops through Control Center:
-
On iPhone X or later, swipe down from the upper-right corner to open Control Center.
-
Firmly press or touch and hold the network settings card in the upper-left corner.
-
Touch and hold the AirDrop button and choose "Contacts Only" or "Everyone" for 10 minutes.
I hope this helps!
