The classic answer to the question "how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood" is a playful one: "A woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood."
However, there have been some attempts to give a more scientific answer!
One wildlife biologist estimated that a woodchuck, based on the amount of dirt it can excavate when burrowing, could chuck around 700 pounds of wood. But of course, woodchucks don't chuck wood, and this is a fun estimate, not a definitive answer.
