Navy boot camp, officially known as Recruit Training Command (RTC), lasts for approximately 7 to 8 weeks. During this period, recruits undergo rigorous physical training, academic instruction, and military indoctrination to prepare them for service in the United States Navy. The training takes place at the Naval Station Great Lakes in Illinois, which is the only Navy boot camp location in the United States.
