To create a beacon in Minecraft, you will need the following materials:
- 3 obsidian blocks
- 5 glass blocks
- 1 Nether star (obtained by defeating the Wither boss)
Once you have gathered the necessary materials, follow these steps to make a beacon:
1. Craft the Beacon:
- Open your crafting table.
- Place the 3 obsidian blocks in the bottom row.
- Place the Nether star in the center slot.
- Fill the remaining slots with glass blocks.
- Once you have arranged the materials correctly, the beacon item will appear in the result box.
2. Place the Beacon:
- Find a suitable location where you want to place the beacon.
- Right-click or tap the ground with the beacon item in your hand to place it.
3. Activate the Beacon:
- To activate the beacon, you will need to create a pyramid structure made of iron, gold, diamond, or emerald blocks beneath it.
- The size of the pyramid will determine the effects and range of the beacon. The smallest pyramid that can activate a beacon is a 3x3 square base with a height of 4 blocks.
- Place the beacon on top of the pyramid structure.
4. Power the Beacon:
- Once the beacon is placed on top of the pyramid, it will emit a beam of light into the sky.
- Right-click or tap on the beacon to open its GUI (graphical user interface).
- Choose the desired primary power (Speed, Haste, Resistance, Jump Boost, Strength, or Regeneration) from the menu.
- Select the power level by using a combination of iron, gold, diamond, or emerald blocks in the GUI.
5. Enjoy the Effects:
- Once the beacon is powered, it will emit a colored beam of light into the sky, indicating the selected power and its level.
- Players within the beacon's range will receive the selected power effect while they are within range of the beacon's beam.
